WHAT IS GOD’S MERCY
The wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy.” James 3:17
God’s mercy is closely akin with forgiveness. What we do in response to God’s mercy sends an important message to the people in our lives. James is very clear in his letter that though deeds are not required to earn God’s favor, or to be a Christian, a repentant heart that loves God will surely be evident by the lives we live.
“Have Mercy on Me, Son of David says the blind Bartimaeus “When God shows his mercy, he does so with utter intentionality and strength, and we as his creatures get our deepest glimpse of who he is not just in his sovereignty but His goodness.”
God has chosen to be merciful to His people. Mercy is expression of who God is, and His love for us. Ex 34:6-7.
PROPHETIC DECLARATION:
God is merciful. His mercy will be visible upon you in this year of greater honour.
PRAYER POINTS
My father, my father, may I be among those you have chosen to show mercy in this year 2023.
God of my fathers, hear me this year and honour me with my desires.
